Sts Peter & Paul Church policy regarding wedding music / musicians
Sts. Peter & Paul has a staff organist who should be contacted regarding weddings six (6) months prior to the proposed wedding date. A time will be arranged for the music to be selected with the staff organist and fees will be discussed at that time. All fees are due to the staff organist no later than 30 days prior to the wedding date.
It is the policy of the Sts. Peter & Paul Church that, in the event that a bridal couple wishes to use or employ an organist or other musician or group of musicians (i.e string ensembles, wind ensembles, brass ensembles, classical guitarists, harpists, etc.) to replace the staff organist of St. Peter & Paul, the bridal couple must pay a “vacate the bench fee” of $100 to the staff organist of St. Peter & Paul no later that 30 days prior to the wedding date. Checks should be made payable to Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
All music selections should be liturgically appropriate and should be submitted to the rectory for approval by the staff organist no less that 30 days prior to the wedding date.
This policy has been established to insure the proper use and care of our instruments and worship space, to verify the suitable selection of music for wedding services and to preserve and protect the livelihood of the employees of Sts. Peter & Paul Church.
