Baptism

MISSION AND PURPOSE

Baptism is birth into the new life in Christ. Through it we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughter of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into His Mystical Body, the Church, and are made sharers in Her mission. In accordance with the Lord's will, it is necessary for salvation.

Baptism classes are offered for parents who have recently had or are expecting their first child. The classes are designed to emphasize the role and responsibilty of Christian parenting in modeling Christian virtue, in handing on Christian teaching and faith, and in overseeing the spiritual welfare of their children.

MEETING TIMES OR FREQUENCY

Baptism will be celebrated on the 1st Sunday of each month at 12:00pm following the 11:00am Liturgy. Classes offered by appointment. Please call the Rectory to schedule a date for a baptism or to make an appointment.
